Sometimes it is the restrictions that a job brings which gives it the greatest creative impetus. With no budget, no imagery and very little information, let alone any brand language, creating an information system for the church that can easily and affordably be updated was one of those jobs.
Not every design job has to be complicated but when you are relying on simplicity it needs to be executed methodically and with precision. The solution here was found in creating an easily understandable hierarchy of information that can be amended and adhered to in the future, lovingly typeset with each poster printed on a solid coloured stock (G. F. Smith was our only concession to the budget). What St. Peter's Church have ended up with is a simple but powerful graphic information system that they can use easily and quickly in the future.
